Fall is in the air...........

Hi all! I'm just now getting into fall and am excited to post my first fall card! On this card I used Autumn Traditions dp by SU, close to cocoa, ruby red and elegant eggplant cs. I also used the medium oval punch as well as the large oval punch and the new word window punch. Give Thanks is stamped in elegant eggplant and then pop dotted up. The only thing that isn't SU is the leaf punch which I used to punch all my leaves out. All my leaves are layered and pop dots were used to add demintion. I then bent some of the leaves up. For the ribbon tail I used the word window and cut notches out to make the edge look like ribbon.

A speccial card and personal message to my son...

I found this stamp a few months ago and picked it up and I'm so glad I did. What a perfect way to tell my son what I think and feel about him serving our country and making his family proud. The thought of him being far away is scarey but what a feeling of patriotism and pride for my brave son.

My son is going Iraq!

We found out Saturday evening that my son got his orders to deploy to Baghdad, Iraq January 15, 2010. I'm not too happy about it but he is and he wants to do the job he signed up for which is protecting our country. I couldn't be more proud of him and the man he's turned out to be.

Back from oblivian.......

It's been about 4 weeks since I've been blogging and I'm glad to be back! In the time that I was gone my husband was in American Samoa for 12 days working with FEMA to repair the electrical system. As of today my 18 yr old and my 21 yr old have moved out of the house and are living on there own. It's a new chapter in mine and my husbands life and I know it will take some getting used to not having my boys home. I think I've been struggling with empty nest syndrome for several weeks now. I've got to figure my self out again and find out who I am other than being a mom which I'm sure several of you had already done! With all that said I'd like to share a couple cards I made. This first card I made was for my aunt who just had a birthday. Everything is Stamping Up except for the embossing folder and ribbon.....hope you like it :)

This last card I made for Jeremy, my son, who just turned 21. Paper and ink are from SU, nestabilities were used and stamped images are from CTMH. Thanks for looking :)

Taking a break.........

Yes, I'm taking a break. I've got a lot of personal things going on in my life right now that I need to focus on and stamping has taken a backseat. If you remember to think about me please say a little prayer for me :)

I'm so excited about this card!

This card was made for a very special person and his new wife for their wedding. I couldn't be there so I wanted to make a card that would suit their personalities and who they are. I hope they like it! The stamps are from Tim Holtz and ink is SU. I also used tiny rhinestones by Taylor V. I did notice that the colors aren't as vibrant in the photos but at least you can see it! Let me know what you think about this card.........

The colors used were real red, yoyo yellow, going grey, and black. I used the pad on paper technique and just pulled the color where I wanted it. Then I used a red marker to color some of the stamped image.

Question: Do you like it with the frayed ribbon or without?

My Christmas card for this year!!

I'm so excited that I'm so ahead of myself for this years cards! Last year I waited until Dec.1 and only made 10 but this year I'm making 40. Ok, on to the card.......SU was used for everything on this card except the swiss dots on the second layer.

Paper: Real red, whisper white, barely banana

Stamps: Barely Christmas (mini), Four the Holidays (mini)

Accessories: Top note die cut, ribbon, swiss dots embossing folder, pop dots, corner rounder, black marker for dots and tripple heart punch

Ink: Basic black, Certainly Celery, Real red, Close to cocoa

Back from vacation and ready to stamp!

I had a wonderful time with my son and daughter in law in Missouri and now I'm home and ready to stamp! I've gotten a few new goodies so once things settle down I will start stamping again!

New cubbies in my room!

Ok, this first diagram is my stamping space in general because I couldn't get a picture of the whole room......

This is the right side of the room that has my original 25 cubbies and this side is totally full! In the middle of everything is my work table and it comes out from the window.

This is my new and fully loaded inkpad holder. Don't you just love it!
I'm so excited! Oh and I can't forget my Copics that are in the little trough that I bought

for $5 Again this the right wall with 25 cubbies and then a bunch of boxes from Ikea which are very inexpensive!

Ok, this is the new cubbies on the left wall....24 of them!! I still have the 3 shelves above and basically took out the 2 tables that I had lining the wall. What's really cool is I have several empty cubbies which is good! Oh, I forgot to mention I have all my stamps sorted by theme and they are in the big black boxes and then I have more on the right side of the room. I'm sure once I get started I will arrange things as to how they work out for me. Plus I forgot to mention that if I just move my inkpad holder to the computer table I can have 5 people at my table stamping!! That's what I really like!

Here's the right side of the new cubbies where I keep my paper and single wood stamps from other companies. Above that is a 12x12 paper holder and a card rack. On the wall is more storage from Ikea....did I say that I loved that place!! So now that I'm all organized and not seeing tons of clutter I should be able to start stamping more and making more projects!
